The Local Government Unit of Iligan City spearheaded by Hon. Mayor Frederick W. Siao in Cooperation with Iligan City Police Office organized a two-day License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearm Registration Caravan with the theme: “Para Likay sa Sakit sa Ulo Armas mo, I-renew ang Rehistro” last November 16 – 17, 2022 at the ICPO Headquarters, Camp Tomas Ll. Cabili, Tipanoy, Iligan City.

The caravan was conducted in compliance with the directive from the PNP Chief to all lower units to exhaust all means possible to reduce the proliferation of unregistered firearms in their respective areas. The activity provided a hassle-free LTOPF and firearms license applications wherein applicants were offered an on-site Drug testing, Gun Safety Seminar, Notarial services, National Police Clearance and other services for documentary requirements.

A total of 103 applicants responded to the call to either renew their expired firearms license or apply or renew their LTOPF during the two-day activity.
