Participated by the Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force to advocate for support and assistance for the promotion and realization of children’s rights, DILG Iligan City, headed by OIC – City Director Maria Maida Daniot and LGOO Villebette Sato conducted the Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) orientation to Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (IMTF) yesterday, December 13, 2022 at the ABC Hall, Brgy. Pala-o.

The City IMTF consists of representatives from CSWDO, CHO, CPDO, DepEd, and Save the Children Philippines, the identified CSO.

The conduct of the said activity aims to brief members of the IMTF on the program and to assess LGU performance in support of ensuring the progressive realization of the four (4) core rights of the children: their survival, development, protection, and participation. In her opening message, CD Daniot emphasized the importance of the CFLGA especially as it is a requirement to be conferred with the Seal of Good Local Governance.

Further, the audit-generated data and results will then serve as basis for LGUs and NGAs to identify strengths and opportunities to enhance child rights responsive governance. (𝘋𝘐𝘓𝘎 𝘐𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘯 | 𝘔. 𝘙𝘢𝘰𝘱𝘢𝘯)
