To provide information on the salient features of RA 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Act of 2018, DILG Iligan City facilitated an orientation yesterday, March 9, at the Mahogany Hills, Iligan City. The said activity was organized by the City Administrator’s Office headed by Dr. Darwin Manubag.

In attendance were various heads of offices, LGU functionaries, and partner NGAs involved in the EODB process. City Councilor Marlene L. Young was also present, as head of the Committee for Trade, Commerce, and Industry.

Invited resource speaker was Ms. Hazel L. Occeña, chief of the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD), to discuss the guidelines on BPLS, BPCO, and Telecommunication Permit OMS as well as the guidelines on the implementation of the Citizen’s Charter.
During the activity, Occeña led the review of existing policies and operations by the LGU and highlighted key points on re-engineering their systems and procedures, poised to facilitate prompt actions or resolution in the delivery of transactions with efficiency to both their clients and stakeholders.

Republic Act No. 11032, also known as The Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act of 2018, primarily aims to improve efficiency in government service by reducing processing time, eliminating red tape, and curbing corrupt bureaucratic practices in our country.
