The DILG Iligan City Office recognized today the outstanding service and performance of its thirteen contact tracers. DILG OIC City Director Maria Maida Daniot called for a special meeting to thank them for their contributions.

“We are grateful for your sacrifice and the risks you took to fulfill your work which proved to be essential in formulating local policies to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Iligan City,” said City Director Daniot.

Archie Butalid, one of the contact tracers, points out how working for the DILG has “helped him deal with and adjust to a variety of cultures and beliefs”, especially in a culturally diverse city.

City Director Daniot and acting Program Manager Villebette Sato also awarded certificates of recognition to the CTs and wished them luck in their future engagements. Prior to the expiration of their contracts, the CTs were able to transfer their knowledge and contact tracing procedures to the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) of Iligan City.
