Various youth-serving organizations were called for the public hearing for the amendments to the Local Youth Code of Iligan City last September 2nd. Sangguniang Kabataan Federated President Emily Hynson facilitated the hearing and recorded the inputs from the participating youth groups.
Present during the meeting was DILG OIC City Director Maria Maida Daniot, she provided input on the amendments proposed and how the city government can enhance its existing Local Youth Code to provide expanded services to its youth constituents.
The Local Youth Code provides essential elements for youth development such as policies, rights, duties, protection and safety, labor and employment, healthcare, education, and the overall well-being of the youth sector and its stakeholders.
