ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, employees and personnel of the Iligan Light and Power, Inc (ILPI) volunteered to participate in the Brigada Eskwela of five schools here.

ILPI assisted in repainting chairs, vegetation clearing and checking electrical connections in Digkilaan Central School, Sta. Filomena Central School, Tambacan Elementary School , Maria Cristina National High School and Napocor Elementary School.

“Ang Iligan Light nagstrengthen mi sa among CSR as a venue of giving back, to the society, people, ug kosumantente,” said Casa Belandres, Human Resource Administration Group Manager of ILPI.

Belandres said that they have been supporting the Department of Education especially with the opening of face-to-face classes after almost two years due to the pandemic.

Out of more than 160 employees and personnel of ILPI, about 80 volunteers were on field to help in the Brigada Eskwela.

Michaelyn Quiambao, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator of Tambacan Central School thanked ILPI for the support given to their school. She said it is a big help since classes will start on Aug. 22. (LELAntonio/PIA-10-Lanao del Norte)
