As the office’s Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) focal person, LGOO II Mohammad Rehan Raopan discussed the Child-Friendly Local Government Audit of the department at the Save the Children Philippines’ Child-centered Social Accountability (CCSAC) Training for Partners and Advocates today, October 25, 2022, at the Alan Sr. Residence, Brgy. Villaverde, Iligan City.

In his discussion, LGOO Raopan emphasized the use of CFLGA as a major tool aimed at assessing the performance of Local Government Units in the delivery and impact of social services on child and youth welfare.

Also present in the said activity were Barangay Child Protection Council (BCPC) focal persons and other officials from two (2) partner communities where the organization is piloting its program– Brgy. Tubod and Brgy. Tambacan.

The CFLGA is a results-based assessment instrument, and an annual mandatory audit created to evaluate the effectiveness of local government units (LGUs) in putting policies in place and implementing initiatives to improve the welfare condition of children.
