ILIGAN CITY (PIA) –The Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology is eyed to be a space for innovation and research according to Chancellor Alizedney “Zed” Ditucalan.
“We will become a space for innovation, space for research. Mao gyud ang [That is the] ultimate direction,” he said.
Ditucalan said that they also seek to transform the University through the University Park project which aims to improve the learning experience and enhance the skills of the students.
“Samot pa namo ipakusog ang atoang research [We will further intensify our research]. MSU IIT is so proud that we are the leading higher education institution in terms of research at least diri sa [here in] Mindanao,” he said.
The Chancellor said that they are also working on making the admission to be inclusive by socializing internal scholarship schemes.
Moreover, MSU-IIT will also intensify collaboration with industries through events and activities that will showcase partnerships between the academe and the private sector.
As part of its Alay sa Graduates series of events, MSU-IIT partnered with the Public Employment Service Office to hold a two-day Career and Job Fair for the graduating students and alumni. (LELA/PIA-10-Lanao del Norte)
