ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – The city government here through its Public Employment Service Office, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration kicked off the two-day job fair in Robinsons Place Iligan.

There are 673 posts available locally and 124 for overseas jobs. In demand local jobs include dispatchers, drivers, mechanics, electricians, painters, cleaners, welders, tile setters, pipe fitters, repairman, officer candidate course, and call center agents. Meanwhile, top overseas job posts are sales agents, cooks, beauticians, mechanical engineers, laborers, assistants, dental technicians, bartenders, receptionists, and packers.

Officer-in-Charge Provincial Head of Department of Labor and Employment Lanao del Norte Lawyer Safrali Cabili encouraged the job seekers to not give up.

“Don’t give up. Ayaw surrender kay ang opportunity muabot rana. Ang importante if naay opportunity na muabot i-grab nimo [Don’t give up. Don’t surrender because the opportunity will come soon. The important thing is if there is an opportunity,grab it.]

Meanwhile, Public Employment Service Office Manager Ceferino V. Sanchez, Jr. said that they continue to collaborate with the DOLE to provide support for job seekers.
