ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) intensified its awareness campaign on its new primary care benefit package dubbed Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (KonSulTa) program here.

Through a media forum, PhilHealth introduced the KonSulTa program to the media partners and other stakeholders.

Christine Mae Magno of PhilHealth Iligan said that the health sector should be proactive in promoting the KonSulTa program to the people.

“That’s why we need to promote KonSulTa program to educate everyone na as early as now get yourself profiled aron early makabalo kung naa ba kay pangandaman o naa ba kay maiwasan nga sakit (to know if you need to do something to protect yourself from getting sick),” said Magno.

Meanwhile, Dr. Francis Ramos. KonSulTa coordinator of PhilHealth-10 said that the program is a health screening and assessment service.

Moreover, Mayor Frederick Siao shared that the budget will be allocated for the repair and refurbishment of the barangay health centers that can serve as KonSulTa facilities.

“We have already budgeted for the repairs and refurbishment of barangay health centers. Rest assured that naa na tay gitarget na health centers nga atong himoon nga primary KonSulTa centers (we already have targeted health centers that will become primary KonSulTa centers),” he said.

To date, there are three KonSulTa facilities in the city namely the Eagles Pharmahealth Multi-specialty and Diagnostic Center, and KonSulTa centers located at City Hall and barangay Maria Cristina. (LELAntonio/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
