The Iligan City Police Office Task Force against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) conducted a successful entrapment operation at approximately 9:30 PM last night. The operation, led by PCPT Nera C. Cabrera, Chief of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) and Team Leader of Task Force OSAEC, was carried out under the supervision of PLTCOL Michelle S. Olaivar, Chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Management Unit (CIDMU), ICPO, and under the guidance of PCOL Reinante Delos Santos, City Director of ICPO.

The operation took place at D’Morvie Suites in Purok 13, Andres Bonifacio, Barangay Saray, Iligan City. The task force, in collaboration with the Women and Children Protection Center-Mindanao Field Unit (WCPC-MFU), Iligan City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC), Iligan City Police Station 5 (ICPS 5), and Jennifer Sanggoyod, the Child Welfare Specialist from the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD), targeted violations of RA 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children), RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons), and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act).

The operation led to the arrest of the suspect, Michael Delos Santos, and the rescue of four female victims: two minors, one 19-year-old, and one 21-year-old. The rescued individuals have been turned over to the CSWD Child Assessment and Processing Center OSAEC Shelter for further care and support.

This police operation was supported by the local government unit of Iligan, with active backing from City Mayor Freddie Siao. The authorities continue to emphasize their commitment to combating online sexual abuse and exploitation of children and ensuring the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals in the community.
