Jaw-dropping performances from eight Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology’s (MSU-IIT) resident performing groups highlighted the Institute’s National Arts Month celebration – Alampat 2023:Gabi ng Sining, on January 24, 2023, at the University Gymnasium.

Headed by the MSU-IIT’s Center for Culture and Arts (CCA), the 2023 Gabi ng Sining showcased talents from Deus Caritas Rondalla, a well-versed musical group composed of survivors of Sendong in 2011; Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG), the MSU-IIT’s resident theater company; IDS Ringkaran, the resident choir of the MSU-IIT Integrated Developmental School (MSU-IIT IDS); Kalilang, the MSU-IIT’s traditional music ensemble; Echoes, the MSU-IIT’s resident contemporary band; Orions, an MSU-IIT dance group; Kalimulan, the MSU-IIT’s cultural dance troupe; and Octava, the MSU-IIT’s choral society.

Moreover, the event featured—for the first time—the festival’s anthem, “Silahis Gloria,” in its brand-new arrangement through a harmonized performance from the above-mentioned groups.

The Gabi ng Sining was graced by the presence of the MSU-IIT Chancellor, Prof. Alizedney Ditucalan, JD. LL.M, institute dignitaries, students and constituents, and the delegates from various Mindanao State University (MSU) system campuses for the 63rd Federation of Mindanao State University Supreme Student Councils (FEMSUSSCO) General Assembly.
