With the initiative of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte (PGLDN) under the leadership of Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza Dimaporo, two former CPP/NPA rebels received livelihood assistance worth Php 20,000.00 each.

Further, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-10 also released cash assistance of Php 20,000.00 each under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). This program is a community-based capacity building program that seeks to improve the program participants’ socio-economic status.

The FRs have reintegrated back to the community and returned to their families to start over with their new normal lives. These cash assistance are one of the many financial benefits that they have already received from the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) namely; immediate and livelihood assistance, firearms remuneration, housing, and access to government services.

Ms. Annabelle S. Mendez, Head of Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) spearheaded the turnover ceremony with the participation of DILG Lanao del Norte LGOO VI Charlene M. Hera and AdAsst II Justine Mae M. Acierto.
