The Dalipuga Transport Service Cooperative (DATRANSCO) launched five (5) additional modernized 22-seater PUJ class II units on February 22, 2023, at Dalipuga Gymnasium, Iligan City. They will ply the route Dalipuga-Iligan City Proper.
The launching was graced by Iligan City Mayor, Hon. Freddie Siao, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Regional Office 10 (LTFRB 10) Chief Transport Development Officer, Mr. Dima-arig Diamla, representing LTFRB 10 director, Regional Director Aminoden D. Guro, and DATRANSCO General Manager, Engr. Alex Maglangit.
Also in attendance were Councilor Alnie Abrera, Jr., Head of Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Lanao Lending Center, Ms. Nena P. Mendoza, Account Officer on Cooperative for Land Bank of the Philippines Lanao Lending Center, Engr. Lino Cenas, Mr. Alvin P. Castro, representing Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) region 10 director, Regional Director Aminoden Elias, Mr. Tony Lumbo, representing Iligan City Vice Mayor Marianito Alemania, Ms. Pinky Toralba, representing Councilor Simplicio Larazabal III, and Mr. Julius Haganas, representing CDLO Department Head, Ms. Alice Coronado.
DATRANSCO initially launched 2 modernized PUJ units for the same route last October 27, 2022.
The launching was in lined with the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program of Department of Transportation (DOTr) which aims to provide Filipinos a more comfortable life thru a public land transportation system that is safe, more accessible, more reliable, more convenient, and environment friendly.
