A reorientation was conducted for the ๐พ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ง’๐จ ๐ผ๐จ๐จ๐ค๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ (๐พ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐ผ) as our Proponent Group for the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) in the I-REAP component for their Abaca Fiber Production and Marketing project at, their community in Cadayunan, Iligan City. A grant of approximately Php 7,400,000.00 will be awarded to boost their local production of Abaca for their improvement in local livelihood.
The orientation focused on the documents needed for the Purchase Request (PR) in order to completely manifest the transfer of funds from the European Union (EU) and the Department of Agriculture, as the main fund source of the said project. Items will be ๐กโ๐๐๐๐ข๐โ๐๐ฆ assessed by the Procurement Officer to maintain the transparency and accurate usage of funds to avoid malicious activities.
With the guidance of ๐๐ง. ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ ๐. ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฃ, Focal Person and Agriculture Consultant, and ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง. ๐พ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ค๐๐๐ก ๐พ. ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ก, SPSS division head and CATRIFA chief advisor, the allocated funds will be used for heavy machinery equipment orders such as spindles, decorticating machines, etc., for the rapid harvesting method of Abaca for marketing purposes.
Hence, the LGU Iligan together with the City Agriculturist’s Office, with the supervision of ๐ด๐. ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ ๐ฑ. ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐, ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ช – ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ensure that every rural community in Iligan City will have an abrupt development in agriculture to boost and strengthen every crop harvest as their daily sustenance.
