October 16, 2020, a search warrant was implemented against a former mayor by joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 10, PNP PDEG-SOU6 and Cagayan de Oro Police Office PS-4. The operation resulted to the confiscation of crystal meth with estimated market value of one hundred thirty six thousand pesos (Php 136,000.00).
The arrested suspect was identified as Abdul Manamparan II y Cordero also known as Don, male, 37 years old and a resident of Xavier Estates Upper Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City.
The confiscated pieces of drug evidence were forwarded to PDEA Regional Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative examination. The suspect is temporarily detained at PDEA 10 detention cell. Cases for violation of RA 9165 are being prepared for filing before the Honorable Court.
