CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Set to amplify the agricultural sector in Iligan City, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) turned over P19 million worth of agricultural interventions to the city on July 26, 2022.
DA-10 Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado conferred the certificate of turnover to Iligan City mayor Frederick W. Siao, sharing that said interventions aim to boost farmers’ income and productivity in their locality.
Said granted assistance supports the city’s urban agriculture program; coffee/cacao-based enterprise project; postharvest operation and irrigation network services; swine sentinel animals and cattle heads; 1 unit farm tractor; and kadiwa hauling truck.
“Agriculture is not an overnight work, it needs proper investment. Rest assured that the city of Iligan will allocate more budget for agriculture,” Siao said. (DA-10)
