The Local Government Unit of Iligan City is celebrating the victory of Mr. Lucky Badelles, who was recently honored as the regional champion of the Local Digital Challenge 2023. The event, organized by #YourDICT10’s ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), took place on May 26, 2023.
Outperforming other contestants, Mr. Badelles secured the highest total score of 98 in the three Office Productivity Tools exam modules, namely Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Presentation. He accomplished this feat in an impressive total completion time of 1.41.
Mr. Badelles’ remarkable achievement earned him the opportunity to represent the Region at the National Digital Challenge, which was held on June 21, 2023. Competing against participants from across the country, he showcased his exceptional digital skills and competencies.
The Local Digital Challenge is an esteemed competition integrated into the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) program—an internationally recognized certification program. This challenge serves as a platform for individuals and organizations to demonstrate their digital literacy and competence. By evaluating participants’ proficiency in various areas covered by the ICDL curriculum, including computer essentials and online collaboration, the competition seeks to assess and acknowledge their expertise.
