Mayor Siao expressed gratitude for the solidarity, security, unity, and camaraderie exhibited by the community during their visit to the checkpoints in the city and their interaction with the students who approached them following the incident at MSU-Marawi.

The mayor extended appreciation for the collective effort shown by Vice Mayor Alemania, council members, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ICDRRMO), other law enforcement agencies, MSU-IIT, as well as various individuals and organizations that voluntarily extended their assistance.

Regardless of their origin, color, or religion, the mayor emphasized the city’s commitment to addressing the needs of everyone. This underscores the resilience and compassionate nature of the people of Iligan.

Mayor Siao expressed hope that the community will continue spreading love and goodwill, navigating through challenging times together, and paving the way towards a brighter and safer future.
