The restoration and revitalization of the historic Medical Rotonda Park have been officially initiated, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and the City Engineers Office (CEO).

This iconic park holds a special place in the hearts of many Iligan residents, and the time has come to give it the attention it deserves. The vision is to transform this park into a functional green oasis within our urban landscape, where everyone can find solace and tranquility.

But it’s not just about renovating the park. In this project, there is also a deep-rooted desire to celebrate the diverse cultural tapestry of Iligan, uniting the Higaonon, Muslim, and Christian communities. At the heart of the park, a centerpiece fountain will stand as a symbol of unity among these diverse groups.

Concerns may arise regarding the allocation of resources for this project. However, rest assured, this is not a squandering of funds. We, as your local government, are committed to the overall welfare of our community. As we invest in beautifying our city, we are equally dedicated to improving essential services, such as water supply. We recognize the urgency and significance of this matter, and we are actively collecting data and formulating a master plan for its enhancement.

It is truly uplifting to witness the transformation of Medical Rotonda Park and its positive impact on our city. Together, we will collaborate to create a better, more beautiful Iligan that we can all cherish.
