The Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) persisted as among the top universities in the country, ranking third in the latest Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index – Philippine University/Institution Rankings.
AD Scientific Index ranks universities according to the performance and productivity of its individual scientists and researchers.
Meanwhile, the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) dean, Dr. Jan Mickelle Maratas, retains his rank as the country’s top scientist based on the AD Scientific Index – Philippine Scientist Rankings 2023. The AD Scientific Index listed 139 scientists from the university.
The Index utilizes author impact metrics, H-index and i10-index, which are based on a researcher’s number of publications and citations.
Individual scientists and researchers were evaluated using a parameter which calculates their total H-index and i10-index values along with the number of citations, and the total H-index and i10-index values together with the number of citations received over the last 6 years.
