ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – In observance of the National Technical-Vocational Day and as part of its 28th anniversary celebration, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Lanao del Norte held the annual World Café of Opportunities.

TESDA conducted this event together with various industries, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry and Public Employment Service Office to show cooperation of government agencies, industry associations, enterprises, and financial institutions.

“It is also a start for the job seekers, those who want in industries or companies, job vacancies they can avail of. Even the self employment we can also produce. Giving also the opportunity for our job seekers abroad and to match with the competences in addressing the gap of mismatch jobs,” said TESDA Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Noralaine Rasul.

Meanwhile, DOLE Lanao del Norte Provincial Head Safrali Cabili said their office is committed to support and extend assistance.

“Ang among commitment sa TESDA ug sa general public, we are always here para mu-assist. Unsa man ang kinahanglan sa TESDA, daghan mig programa sa DOLE. We are very committed and willing to provide necessary training and programs in the implementation of your goals and objectives,” he said.

The World Café of Opportunities focuses on, skills upgrading/enrollment on scholarships, pre-employment orientation to tesda alumni, financial literacy orientation and availment of microfinance programs and signing of covenant of support with partner industries. (LELAntonio-PIA10-Lanao del Norte)
