Early this afternoon July 10, joint operatives of PDEA ROX- Lanao del Norte Provincial Office and Lanao del Norte Police Office conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok 9, Barangay Tambacan, Iligan City which resulted the successful arrest of two drug personalities and the confiscation of One Hundred Two Thousand Pesos (Php.102,000.00) worth estimated market values of shabu.
The arrested suspects were identified as Melchizedek B. Tamayo, 21 years old, male, single, a resident of the above-mentioned place and Jonalyn B. Sinajon, 20 years old, female, single and a resident of Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Both are known drug personalities and a priority persons of interest against the drug law enforcers of the said City.
Further, pieces of drug evidence were forwarded to PDEA ROX Laboratory Office for qualitative and quantitative examination. While the arrested suspects were temporarily detained at PDEA ROX detention facility for booking and documentation. Moreover, a case for violation of RA 9165 was being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
