The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ligan City under the leadership of City Director Maria Maida Daniot initiated an orientation to designated liaisons of different agencies which are members of the Peace and Order Council (POC) of Iligan City.

The orientation aims to promote transparency and accountability in utilizing the peace and order fund by educating concerned member agencies and offices on the procedures for accessing it. By providing a detailed overview of the application process and requirements, the orientation helps members understand the expectations and responsibilities of accessing and utilizing the fund.

In coordination of the City Budget Office and Accounting Office, the DILG presented the priority PPAs under the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) plan to be implemented this year and discussed strategies on how it can be accessed. Representatives of the City Budget Office and City Accounting Office oriented the participants on how to process transactions to be able to implement the priority peace and order and public safety programs.

The orientation on utilization and procedures for accessing the POPS fund is an initiative of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) through its secretariat to promote effective program implementation and ownership in addressing safety and security concerns of the different council members.
