A minor male, identified as a founder/leader of a gang in a barangay in Iligan City, has been apprehended following the execution of a CyberWarrant (WSSECD). Several videos related to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) were discovered on his cellphone.
This operation was carried out through the concerted efforts of the Iligan City police, led by the Task Force OSAEC Iligan, in collaboration with RSOU-10, RACU-10, ICMFC Iligan, SWAT Team Iligan, WCPC-MFU, CSWD office, and DOJ RATTF 10.
As a result of this police operation, authorities have determined that the case against the juvenile, for violating RA 11930 or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse And Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act, is to be pursued.
This police operation received full support from the city of Iligan under the leadership of City Mayor Frederrick W Siao, as part of his commitment to safeguarding the youth under his protection program.
