The executive briefing held by the team at the CMO Gender and Development Office for the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) in Iligan proved to be productive. Important updates regarding priority GAD Projects aimed at improving infrastructure to aid women and children in the city were discussed.
Among the priority GAD Projects are the Women and Children Crisis Center, Child Minding Center, Women Display Center, LGU Gender Responsive Comfort Rooms, Breastfeeding Room, HIV Clinic, and the One-Stop Shop VAWC Crisis Center at GTLMH. These projects are designed to provide essential support and services to women and children in our community, focusing on their safety, well-being, and empowerment.
Furthermore, there is a commitment to further develop and support programs addressing Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), including providing livelihood and education opportunities for vulnerable women in Iligan. Under the leadership of Al Madale, there is a united effort to build a more inclusive and prosperous city for all.
The collective goal remains to work together towards a brighter and more equitable future for Iligan!
