Step 1: Using a stable internet connection, go to the BIR website (www.bir.gov.ph).
Step 2: Click on the eBIRForms icon. The eBIRForms installer will automatically be downloaded.
Reminder: The eBIRForms software will only work using Windows OS.
Step 3: After downloading, install the eBIRForms on your computer.
Step 4: Upon opening the eBIRForms, fill-in the required information, such as tax identification number, RDO code, line of business (e.g., manufacturing), taxpayer’s registered name, registered address, zip code, telephone number, and email address.
Step 5: Select the correct form from the drop-down list of BIR Forms.
Step 6: Fill-in the required tax information.
Step 7: Click the ‘validate’ button found on the lower left side of the form.
Step 8: If you failed to fill in all required information or encoded incorrect details, a prompt that says ‘Validation is unsuccessful’ will appear. If you encoded properly, a prompt that says ‘Validation is successful’ will appear. Click ‘OK’.
Step 9: Click ‘Submit/Final Copy’. When a prompt appears, click ‘OK’ to submit your form to BIR.
Step 10: To submit the form to BIR, click ‘OK’ in the Terms of Service Agreement (TOSA).
Step 11: A prompt that says ‘Submit Successful’ will appear. Read the text in the prompt box and click ‘OK’.
Step 12: Wait for an email confirmation that your application has been received by the BIR.
Step 13: If you have a tax due, you may pay it online through e-payment channels. Click ‘ePay icon’ found on the BIR website.
Step 14: Select the preferred e-payment option and follow the instructions on how to pay tax dues using the preferred e-payment channel. After paying the tax dues using the preferred e-payment channel, wait for a confirmation via email or SMS from the service provider or bank saying that payment has been confirmed.
Rest assured that your tax returns will be submitted through the e-BIR facility.
Step 15: For manual payors, bring a printed copy of your tax return and confirmation email, if you filed electronically, to the authorized agent banks or revenue collection officers in the revenue district office, and pay for your tax dues.
